One simple technique that will help you form almost any new habit

Do you have one item on your to-do list which never gets crossed off? Full of hope, you transfer it from one day's list to the next, but can never seem to block out the time and energy to make it happen. Guess what? It happens to the best of us. "Pairing" is a simple technique you can use to increase your chances of sticking to that elusive goal.

Prepare to Pair 

It takes several months to form a lasting habit, and pairing can help you stay the course. All you need to do is to "pair" the habit you'd like to add with something you already do.

If you'd like to start meditating, try pairing it with breakfast. Simply remember to meditate before or after you eat breakfast every day. There is plenty of experimental evidence in support of this practice.
In fact, pairing is basically just another name for the much-harder-to-remember "Premack's principle," named after the researcher who showed that more probable behaviors (e.g. breakfast) reinforce less probable behaviors (e.g. meditation). But what if the probable activity not only reinforced the likelihood of the second, less probable activity, but also provided benefits which enhanced it?  
Pairing with Pranamat

Try pairing almost any activity with Pranamat ECO to ensure that you not only remember to actually do the activity, but bring the energy and pain-relieving benefits of using your Pranamat to that activity. For example, try lying on your Pranamat for fifteen minutes before you go on a run to give yourself energy and warm up your muscles before you head out the door!
