Usage and care
Many children enjoy using Pranamat, but it is essential to have adult supervision at all times due to the sharp petals. Children's skin is particularly sensitive, so we recommend placing a linen cloth or cotton t-shirt between the mat and their body, and limiting sessions to 10-15 minutes. Parents have shared that they allow their children to gently touch the lotus flowers with their fingertips to develop motor skills. Additionally, some parents encourage their kids to gently press their feet onto the mat while sitting, promoting a gentle and safe interaction.

For optimal results, use Pranamat daily. It's easy to incorporate into your routine—try using it while brushing your teeth or before bed each evening. Alternatively, place it on your office chair for the first 20 minutes of your workday. Regular use will help you maximize the benefits and enjoy a greater sense of well-being.
Pranamat is designed to massage various parts of the body, including the back, neck, arms, legs, feet, and hands. It can also be used on the scalp and the top or sides of the head. However, it is not recommended for use on the face, chest, or inner-thigh area.
Pranamat is not recommended for use during pregnancy. However, once your child is born, Pranamat becomes a wonderful support for new moms. Many of our customers are new moms who love and enjoy daily massages at home.
The tips of the lotus flowers are perfectly rounded and seamless to protect your skin. But, it is the gentle bite of the lotus that triggers the waves of deep relief. It takes 1-5 sessions to be able to lay down for the recommended twenty-minute session. During this time, you can wear a thin t-shirt or have shorter massages. Within a week, you will be craving the sensation of Pranamat®.

To use your Pranamat, simply lower yourself onto the Massage Set, positioning it under your back, shoulders, neck, or any other area you'd like to massage (except your face). You can also sit or stand on it, or apply gentle pressure to your feet while sitting. With no moving parts, all you need to do is lay still, breathe deeply, and let the mat do its work. Using Pranamat is effortless and will leave you feeling both relaxed and energized.
Washing Pranamat is simple.
1. Remove the inner coconut fiber or buckwheat hull filler, and separate the outer linen cover from the inner cotton cover.
2. Hand-wash the exterior linen cover with cold water and mild – preferably natural – detergent, and leave to dry naturally. Do not machine-wash.
3. The Pranamat signature lotus massage elements can be gently cleaned with a soft brush, and sprinkled with a disinfectant solution between sessions, if needed.
4. The white cotton inner-case can be hand or machine washed, on a normal cotton cycle.
5. The coconut fiber filler should not come into contact with water or be cleaned. It’s absolutely not necessary since coconut fiber is naturally dust- and odor-resistant.
If you have very sensitive skin and experience discomfort while using Pranamat, we recommend wearing thin cotton clothing instead of using it on bare skin. Additionally, for the first few sessions, try limiting your massage to between two and ten minutes. Using Pranamat on a soft surface, such as a mattress or couch, rather than the floor, can also help reduce the intensity of the pressure and make the experience more comfortable.
Pranamat is specifically designed, and safety checked for use on various parts of the body, including the head, neck, shoulders, back, buttocks, abdomen, legs, and feet. However, we do not recommend using it on the face, despite understanding the temptation. The Massage Set is optimized for other areas to ensure a safe and effective experience.
